Jimmy Dean Apple Sausage Ring.

So in the spirit of Fall, I thought I would post one of my favorite recepies! My mom always made this during the holidays while I was growing up. LOVE IT!

These are the ingredients that will be used.:

Bundt pan

Mixer or large bowl

Scraper/Spatula

Cooking Spray (for bundt pan)

Herb seasoned stuffing mix (1 1/2 C)

Jimmy Dean Regular Sausage (2 lbs) (you can also use 1 lb regular and 1 lb Maple or Hot if you prefer)

Milk (1/2 C)

Eggs (2 large)

Apple (red delicious 1 C chopped) (approx 1 large apple = 1C)

Onion (not pictured) any color you prefer (1/4 C)

First: Spray your bundt pan with the cooking spray. Apply it liberally as the sausage tends to stick if not coated well.

Next, chop up your apple and onion.

Then, add all your measured ingredients into mixer or large bowl.

Then, mix on low speed for approx 3 mins (I use my dough hook for this because it seems to work the motor less than the regular mixer) or mix by hand if you don't have a mixer. mix until blended.

Once blended, press lightly into bundt pan.

Once pressed into pan, place pan on middle rack in oven and bake uncovered @ 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Bottom will darken as it bakes, this is normal. Sausage is normally done when it starts to pull away from the edges of the pan.

After cooking...remove from oven and drain any extra grease. Let stand for at least 10 mins before attempting to flip onto plate or serving platter. Voila! Your delicious Apple Sausage ring awaits...I had to take this picture fast before my husband sunk the knife into it!

A little "Practical Magic"....

I LOVE the movie Practical Magic. It's in my top 5 movies of all time! After spending HOURS exploring blogs today, and drooling over all the crafts and projects I need to be making, then feeling overwhelmed....I can't describe to you how excited I was to run across a blog devoted ENTIRELY to this movie! http://pmblogparty.blogspot.com/

They are having a blog party on Sept 25.. (the day after my birthday, how perfect is that!?) In order to be a participant you have to create something that has to do with the movie (or the book...garden spells)...I am SO all over this! My wheels are turning and I have SO many ideas....I don't even know where to start!....Here comes that overwhelmed feeling again.. Will I be able to get all the projects and crafts done that I want before Oct 1st? I'd like to think so.

But there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can.

My Candelabra. Fantastic idea from Sawdust and Paperscraps!

I just had to share a few pics of a Candelabra I made! I was inspired by Sandra over at http://www.sawdustandpaperscraps.blogspot.com/
She has SUCH great ideas! I am in the middle of making two more of her ideas so far.... but for now, here's my version of the "Candelabra"
(Also this is in NO way a tutorial!..In fact I actually kind of stink at "tutorials". I'm AWESOME at taking before and after pics, but as far as "process" pics...Not so much! I get too into the project and getting it done to remember to take pics of the "process"...(I'm working on it though) For a FULL tutorial of this project please look at the link above! Thanks

So I already had this old Vintage floor lamp....





I also found an old lamp my husband's mom no longer used, out in their barn!...

I took out all the wiring, and all the inside rods....and was left with pieces to spray paint.

Here is the garbage pile of unused parts....

Now here is where my "process" pictures are non existent....basically I spray painted all the pieces in a gloss black....and I had to find an old chandelier to use as my top piece (goodwill $5.00)... and also had to purchase a long threaded rod (hardware store $4.00) so that I could attach all the pieces together and tighten them down. But here is the finished product!

Also adding beading around the bottom portion of the chandelier....fun effect! (had to spray paint the beading in gloss black to match)... and I don't know about you, and your spray painting skills...but spraying this beading is what took most of my spray paint....I suppose it was all the little nooks and cranny's of the beading? If you can find beading that is already black....buy it! :)

All in all, a beautiful project for a small amout of money (less than $10.00)!!!! Looks like a million bucks! thanks Sandra for you awesome ideas!
